Campbell Architecture was started in 2016 by Michael Campbell in Perth, Western Australia.
Projects are fundamentally informed by a detailed analysis of site - climatically, contextually and culturally - with a preference for design responses that priortise winter sun and natural ventilation through the introduction of courtyards and gardens that connect to the outdoors.
Spaces are designed to be modest in size, flexible in use and spatially generous - manipulating light and shade, openness and intimacy.
Wherever possible materials are selected that are naturally derived, locally sourced, have low
embodied energy, and can be expressed in close to their raw state to weather gracefully with age.
Campbell Architecture encourages and welcomes a collaborative approach to design and construction and has procured projects successfully through early selection of builders , tendering and owner/building.
